Our Dynamite Design Team

Introducing our Dynamic Design Team (The DDs)

Emma Ivemey

I have always been crafty, but really got into it in a big way when I came to Canada 10 years ago from England. I found it hard to meet people, so when I discovered scrapbooking, I also discovered a huge new network of friends. I joined AFCI (CHA) in 2013 as a creative professional, and am now a Designer Member and Secretary of the Canadian chapter. I was an assistant editor of the Designer Trends Report for 2017. I love to try any type of crafts, but my favourites are papercrafts, mixed media, knit & crochet, and also upcycling junk into home decor items. (Oh yes and I am married with 4 kids - mustn't forget them lol!)

Anabela Teixeira

My name is Bela and I have been creating scrapbooks, cards and anything paper-related for over 15 years. I enjoy scrapbooking because I am able to tell a story with a photo. I especially love adding a little surprise journal quote so that I may write down little memories of photos I enjoy preserving. My style is eclectic, from whimsical to vintage. If the paper tickles my CPU (Creative Processing Unit) then something beautiful happens and I would love to share it with you. Let's get creative and preserve the memories that flash through our lives. Happy Scrappin' ~ Bela

Sandra James

Hi there! My name is Sandra James and I have been an avid scrapbooker and genealogist since 2004. Although I have dabbled in digital scrapbooking, primarily to record my travels, I much prefer traditional scrapbooking where I can handle, feel and get up close and personal to the products.

My natural scrapbooking style is clean and linear and I am always willing to try new techniques and shake things up a bit. My pages need to tell the story because for me, my scrapbooking is a record of my family history and will be the legacy I leave behind.

Janet Lawrence

Hi, I'm Janet Lawrence and the scrapbook bug has hit me! When I started scrapbooking about five years ago, I had a tape runner, some paper and a few stickers. Fast forward to the present: I'm now taking more risks with designs and products, which has encouraged me to try out different layouts and techniques. I've also met a group of fantastic ladies who push my creative boundaries and help me think outside the box.

While I enjoy knitting and doing embroidery and cross-stitch, I'd much rather spend my free time creating scrapbooks of memories for my two children. My layouts are simple and balanced, and are a good starting point to more advanced designs.
